WA Labor allocates funds to support the Brixton Street Wetlands

FRIENDS OF BRIXTON STREET WETLANDS

Friday 24th February 2017
A McGowan Labor Government will commit to supporting the vital work of the Friends of the Brixton Street Wetlands.

Located in the heart of Kenwick, the Brixton Street Wetlands is a sanctuary for local fauna and flora. Year round, the bush and wetlands are protected and replenished by a number of dedicated volunteers who make up the Friends of Brixton Street Wetlands group.

Comments by WA Labor’s candidate for Forrestfield Stephen Price:
“Volunteer groups like the Friends of Brixton Street Wetlands are at the heart of our community and central to the protection of our natural wildlife and bushlands…I have had the pleasure to attend a number of events organised by the Friendship group at the wetlands including a morning where we replanted a section of bush.”
